What is TA-65?

TA-65 supplement

TA-65 is an exclusive, all natural, plant-based compound isolated from an extract of the dried root of Astragalus membranaceous. The supplement can help maintain telomeres, which are an essential part of human cells that affect how our cells age and that diminish as people get older (1, 2).

Let talk a bit more about telomeres.

Inside the nucleus of a cell, our genes consist of a long twisted, double-stranded molecules of DNA called chromosomes. Telomeres are the caps at the end of each strand of DNA like “the plastic tips at the end of shoelaces” that protect our important information in our genes and allow cells to divide without losing genes (3). If telomeres become shorter or malfunction, our genes will be damaged, causing cells to get older prematurely and stop functioning properly (4).

Telomere shortening relates to all aspects of the aging process at the cellular level. Many scientific studies have proven that the shortening of telomeres leads to aging. The shorter our telomeres are, the more aging we experience (5). Similarly, our immune system, which becomes weaker when we grow older, is sensitive to shortening of telomeres (6).

For a body to stay healthy and live longer, it is important to maintain telomere length. Having short telomeres can accellerate the natural aging process at a cellular level.

Telomerase, also known as “telomere terminal transferase,” is an enzyme that is made of proteins. Telomerase makes our chromosomes longer by adding a bead of specific acid amines to the end of existing chromosomes. We can find it in fetal tissues, adult germ cells, and tumor cells, and it isn’t detectable in our “somatic cells.”

When activated, telomerase can stop telomere shortening and cell aging, resulting in cells living longer and returning to normal functions. Above all, it helps us look younger (7).
The key function of TA-65 is to activate telomerase. Hence, it can help slow down the process of telomere shortening, as an anti-aging agent. To stop telomere shortening, besides using TA-65, by managing stress, stopping smoking, losing weight, exercising and having a healthy diet, a person can also contribute to reducing the shortening of telomeres (6).

What makes TA-65 special?

  • There have been several studies conducted on TA-65. TA-65 is the only “cycloastragenol derived product” which has been properly studied and proved.
  • In comparison to other products, TA-65 is produced in the form of “micro dispersible” compounds, which are easily-absorbed into our blood.
  • In a recent survey, TA-65 has been shown to be effective on human health, such as reducing blood pressure, decreasing cholesterol levels in the blood, improving levels of blood sugar and insulin. TA-65 also decreases inflammatory mediators like homocysteine and increases mineral density in bones.

As with all supplements, customers should be aware of the following:

  • Stop using it if irritation occurs
  • Avoid eye contact
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Do not use it if its seal is broken.

Conclusion

There are more and more clinical studies being published about TA-65. Apart from functioning as an anti-aging agent and an agent for fighting cancer, researchers are trying to prove that TA-65 can be helpful in skin grafts, bone marrow transplants, and heart diseases (7).
